Freddy Krueger Christmas Sweatshirt

Ugly Christmas Sweater.

Are you looking for the ultimate Ugly Christmas Sweater, that is, maximum ugly for minimum embarassment? You want to observe the social etiquette but the stakes of putting on a sweater wrapped in tinsel and fairylights is just too high a price for your self-esteem? Well, look no further than this Freddy Krueger Sweatshirt. It’s ugly, it’s festive, it will get you noticed for all the right reasons and you can walk away at the end of the event with your pride intact. The sinister twist on a line from the “Santa Claus is coming to town” song may perhaps unsettle a few guests along the way. What more could you want?

Who is Freddy Krueger?

For the few who may not have heard of Nightmare on Elm Street, Freddy Krueger is the serial killer creation of Wes Craven who slashed his way into our lives in the first Nightmare on Elm Street movie in 1984. More than just a macabre serial killer with an appalling complexion and an urgent need for a manicure, Freddy Krueger is a dream-demon who attacks his victims from within their dreams. That is, if you are killed by Freddy in your dreams, you die for real. A sobering thought at the end of a scary movie marathon when it’s finally time to retire.

Description.

This sweatshirt is a delicious collaboration of Freddy Krueger and Christmas. Central place is a larger than life image of Freddy, familiar striped jumper in festive colors, iconic hat and matching slasher glove and that air of menacing that Freddy does so well. A panel of bloodied slasher gloves along the bottom add a colorful, Christmas decoration style motif. The snowflakes falling around Freddy give an immediate hint to the cold chill of winter, even if Freddy himself seems oblivious to the freezing temperatures around him. Well, he is dead you know.

In true festive snowflake -edged style, the words “He knows when you are sleeping” are picked out in blood red across the chest. If you didn’t already know, that is a well known line from the iconic Christmas song “Santa Claus is coming to town”. Replace Claus with Claws and you will be nearer the mark in Freddy’s case, made all the more sinister by Freddy’s reputation as a dream-demon.

The details.
