Batman Christmas Sweater

Keep out the cold this winter with an officially licensed Batman Christmas Sweater. Forget printed sweatshirts and get your hands on this beautifully knitted quality sweater with a patch embroidery design. Fans of Batman are going to be delighted with this caped crusader themed sweater. It is available in a range of sizes from 2XS to 4XL making it suitable for Bat Men and Women alike.

Winter is Coming

Winter and snow are featured throughout this sweater. Giant snowflakes provide a trim along the bottom of the body and the arms. In a festive red, the Joker’s typical “HAHAHA” provides a bold red border that lifts the other colors. The Batman theme is strong throughout, with the logo printed on both arms in black on a gold background. This sweater is a dream for Batman fans.

Festive Feature

Featured on the front of this graciously geeky Christmas Sweater is an image of Batman and his arch enemy Joker locked in battle. Along with fisticuffs, there’s a battle of words going on as Batman puts the Joker in his place. The sweater is a thrilling homage to an episose of the animated 90s TV show, Christmas with the Joker.

Christmas with the Joker

In this episode, Batman and Robin settle down on Christmas Eve to watch It’s a Wonderful Life, thinking all is quiet in Gotham City. Batman’s scepticism is proved right when Joker takes over the air waves in a pirate Christmas Special. They soon learn Joker’s dastardly plan. He has created traps hidden all over town which the dynamic duo must overcome before midnight in order to rescue Commissioner Gordon, Harvey Bullock and Summer Gleeson.

Voiced by Mark Hamill, of Luke Skywalker fame, the Joker sings his own version of the children’s parody of Jingle Bells, in this episode of the classic animated 90s TV show:

Sweater Swipes and Snipes

Joker may have had the upper hand when he broke out of prison and held Gotham city to ransom but on your Christmas Sweater Batman definitely has the last say. Joker pulls back, takes a deep breath and utters the start of his childish taunt “Jingle Bells…” Before he has a chance to land a blow or utter his next line, Batman cooly counters “I don’t smell!” Once Batman engages in a battle of wits or fisticuffs there is only ever going to be one outcome.

Meanwhile back at the lair

In Christmas with the Joker, the issue of despatching the Joker is a little more complicated. It takes almost until the deadline of midnight for Batman and Robin to find Joker’s lair, defeat the purple clad peril and rescue the victims. Batman and Robin’s quest takes them through Gotham City via a blown up bridge, a loose canon in the observatory and finally a disused toy factory where Joker is hiding.

Toys and Tchaikovsky

The final battle that ensues is colored by the music of The Nutcracker Suite, written by Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky. Traditionally enjoyed by children at Christmas, the music provides a thrilling backdrop to Joker’s antics to thwart the dynamic duo. Planes dive bomb our heroes, giant Toy soldiers launch an assault and machine gun snipers fire at them. Fortunately for Gotham City and the hostages, Batman and Robin overcome the Joker and his goons to save the day. With Joker safely locked up once more, Batman and Robin are once again, free to enjoy Christmas. Thanks Batman!
