In the closing scene of the incomparable Robert Zemeckis movie, “Back to the Future”, we see Doc Brown, Marty and Jennifer cram into the DeLorean that the Doc has converted into a time machine and head off, back to the future!

The line “Where we’re going, we don’t need roads”, uttered by an oddly dressed Doc Brown might have given some indication that the future held a few surprises. That is, if you didn’t already work that one out when the Doc poured banana peel and cola + can into Mr Fusion, the power converter that everybody was supposed to be using by the year 2015. Come on scientists!

The clothes that Doc Brown gives Marty so that he can blend into the year 2015 and impersonate his son are as amusing post 2015 as they were in November 1989 when Back to the Future II was first released.

This authentic Marty McFly jacket recreates the jacket worn by Michael J. Fox in “Back to the Future II”.

In the movie, we see the jacket auto-self adjust for size and auto-dry when wet. It also gives voice confirmation of these events. This replica jacket does light up and speak appropriate phrases from the movie, including “Drying mode on. Jacket Drying. Your jacket is now dry,” and “Adjusting fit.” Now we’re going to have to break it to you, the jacket isn’t really doing any of those things. Just don’t tell the jacket. Play along, you never know where it may take you.

This is an Officially Licensed replica jacket that does an impressive job of recreating the one worn by Marty McFly in the movie. Made from 100% polyester, the body of the jacket features a unique “waffle” style fabric in red to resemble the original jacket.

If Marty had never seen Grays Sports Almanac in the “Blast from the Past” shop in 2015, his idea to get rich quick by cheating on the sports scores back in 1985 wouldn’t have given the idea to old Biff, he couldn’t have stolen the DeLorean, travelled back in time and given the almanac to young Biff in 1955, Marty and the Doc wouldn’t have had to go back to 1955 to get the Almanac back from Biff, Doc Brown wouldn’t have been zapped into 1855 by the lightning, Marty wouldn’t have had to go to 1855 to bring Doc back to the future and Doc Brown would never have met Clara Clayton because she would be lying at the bottom of Clayton’s ravine, that is, at the bottom of Eastwood Ravine, or is it Shonash Ravine?
