Dracula Action Figure

Count Dracula Background

Count Dracula first sprung from the imagination of Irish author Bram Stoker in the year 1897. The gothic horror novel recounts the tale of Count Dracula’s attempt to move from Transylvania to England. Hounded from his home by the notorious vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing, the Count must flee to pastures new, to find new blood and to spread his undead curse.

Description

This beautifully sculpted figure has been created by Gabriel Marquez. Dracula is shown standing on a hillside grave site with a lone wolf as his companion. Since Dracula referred to the wolves as “children of the night” it is only fitting that a lone wolf is given a place at his side.

“Listen to them, the children of the night. What music they make” ~ Bram Stoker.

The image of Count Dracula is always that of a sophisticated man of noble birth. This beautifully designed 18cm figure captures the image and the chilling presence of the one known as Count Dracula in a highly detailed representation. The white tie and tails, red satin lined cape, crisp white pocket kerchief and gold pocket watch are all indications of the aristocratic lifestyle we associate with the Count.

Bela Lugosi inspired

Released in 1931, the first movie adaptation of Count Dracula starred Bela Lugosi. This sculpture takes much of its inspiration from the Bela Lugosi depiction of Count Dracula. Most notably, the infamous medallion worn by Bela Lugosi’s Dracula is seen in all its glory beneath Dracula’s white bow tie.

In the original movie, Bela Lugosi used hand movements to expertly conveyed the Count’s fierce nature, strength of mind, and ability to mesmerise his prey. This sculpture has accurately captured those same hand gesticulations with chilling effect.

The facial expression on Count Dracula captures him in indomitable mood. Arched brows and piercing eyes convey the intensity of the vampire, the resolute nature of the beast that lurks beneath the charming, seductive exterior.

Dracula Action Figure Verdict

This beautifully sculpted figure accurately captures the image, style and chilling presence of the screen legend of Count Dracula. The level of detail, facial expressions, hand positions and points of articulation draw in the admirer and will delight fans of Count Dracula and collectors.

If Count Dracula holds a fascination for you, this is a must have item. In the words of Bram Stoker:

“I have crossed oceans of time to find you.”
