Zombie Army Trilogy
Zombie Army Trilogy, a spin-off of the Sniper Elite Series, is a terrifyingly intense third person shooter for 1 to 4 players. Set in a gruesome alternative vision of World War II, it is Berlin 1945, and a desperate Adolf Hitler deploys one last plan to avoid defeat. Using occult rituals he re-animates the corpses of the dead and pits them against the allied forces. As a result, Germany is the scene of a zombie apocalypse and is overrun with the undead.
The trilogy includes a remastered version of the original Nazi Zombie Army and its sequel.
The game can be played in co-operative mode or standalone.
The player has various types of explosives at their disposal including grenades, mines and dynamite. When using the sniper rifle, certain elements such as wind direction and strength and bullet drop can affect the trajectory of the bullet which can ricochet off surfaces or targets and strike elsewhere. The player can also hold their breath to steady their shot and more precisely control their aim.
The theme of this game is to slaughter as many zombies as possible. There is much blood and gore. We see a number of weapons including guns, grenades and dynamite. Some of the kills are very graphic, aimed at a mature audience only.
The “X-Ray Kill Cam” features a camera that tracks the trajectory of the bullet from the sniper rifle to the target in slow motion, and upon impact will show an anatomically correct x-ray style reveal of the body part being hit and the damage the bullet causes to the organs and bones.
Reminiscent of Medal of Honor and Sniper Elite, if you like zombie games and shoot ’em ups you are going to thoroughly enjoy this game. Great fun to play cooperatively, watching the scores change as you beat your comrade to a snipe!
There is a good selection of weaponry. The X-ray Kill Cam is excellent when you get to see a great shot in slow motion, taking full advantage of the Xbox One graphics. Great fun!
