What is Zombiecide?

Zombicide is a fun game of strategy for one to six players aged 13 years and up. It was developed by Guillotine Games and published by CoolMiniOrNot. The duration of a game can be as short as 20 minutes, particularly if you are new to play on the beginners board. Experienced players can embrace the challenge of the expert board where a game can last 3 hours!

The concept of the game is that an apocalypse has taken place, the undead are running amok and have taken over. Your prime objective in this game is simply to survive.

This game provides a great opportunity for players to explore their abilities to survive an apocalypse withing the safe confines of a board game. Nevertheless, the process can be tense, thrilling and a lot of fun.

How to Play

Players take control of one of six survivors who are each in possession of a different skill set and abilities. Zombicide is very much a cooperative game requiring players to engage as a team to survive and no player has to take part as a zombie. If the game is to be played solo, the player controls four “survivors”, whereas 6 players would control one “survivor” each.

Zombicide Rules

The Zombies are controlled by two simple rules: they either chase after the closest living entity or the loudest spot on the board. This mechanism allows players to become totally immersed in the concept of the game as they endeavour to survive.

Zombicide Strategies

This involves searching for useful equipment, outwitting the zombies, setting traps for them and knowing how to escape potentially dangerous situations. In the same way survivors can increase their advantage by destroying zombies, it is also possible for the zombies to gain the upper hand and change the balance of power in their favour.

Trilling and Tense

The equilibrium between survival and slaughter is constantly changing as the infected are growing in numbers and characters keep turning from preys to predators. As you kill zombies and increase your skill level you find the zombies that now challenge you will also have increased in the level of threat they impose. The only real way out of the zombie infested town is zombicide.

Quick to Learn

Locate weapons, kill zombies and increase your skills. There are 10 scenarios on different maps made from modular map tiles. As you become familiar with the game you can create your own scenarios. Zombicide is quick to learn and fun to play in a zombie infested comics inspired environment that will keep you coming back for more!
