The Munsters Closed Casket Collection
The Munsters is a comedy TV show from the 1960s about a typical working class family. Typical that is, if the father looks like Frankenstein’s monster, the wife and her father are vampires and the son is a werewolf.
Their daughter Marilyn is a beautiful teenager, whom the others consider to be the ugly duckling. But they love her anyway, despite her ‘unfortunate appearance’.
The Munster’s pet dragon ‘Spot’, lives in the dungeon. He is not seen, but makes his presence felt with his terrifying roar and typhoon-inducing breath.
The running joke throughout all their crazy episodes is that however horrifyingly people react to their appearance, the Munsters consider themselves ordinary and normal.
Violence Rating
Although the Munsters feature a family of monsters, this is a family comedy series from the 1960s. There is no violence.

The Munsters is a comedy about Monsters that has no violence, no bad language, and is safe for the whole family to enjoy. The costumes and makeup are authentic, based on the classic monsters of Universal Studios films from the 1930s and 1940s. The makeup was created and applied to the actors by Bud Westmore, who pioneered many make-up effects and designs for many of the Universal monster movies.
