The Munsters Closed Casket Collection

The Munsters is a comedy TV show from the 1960s about a typical working class family. Typical that is, if the father looks like Frankenstein’s monster, the wife and her father are vampires and the son is a werewolf.

Their daughter Marilyn is a beautiful teenager, whom the others consider to be the ugly duckling. But they love her anyway, despite her ‘unfortunate appearance’.

The Munster’s pet dragon ‘Spot’, lives in the dungeon. He is not seen, but makes his presence felt with his terrifying roar and typhoon-inducing breath.

The running joke throughout all their crazy episodes is that however horrifyingly people react to their appearance, the Munsters consider themselves ordinary and normal.

Violence Rating

Although the Munsters feature a family of monsters, this is a family comedy series from the 1960s. There is no violence.

The Munsters Verdict

The Munsters is a fun, family hit comedy show from the 1960s. If you grew up in the 1960s enjoying the Munsters you will find this DVD a real treat. Those who are new to the Munsters can discover a wacky comedy about everyday events seen through the eyes of a monster family.

The Munsters is a comedy about Monsters that has no violence, no bad language, and is safe for the whole family to enjoy. The costumes and makeup are authentic, based on the classic monsters of Universal Studios films from the 1930s and 1940s. The makeup was created and applied to the actors by Bud Westmore, who pioneered many make-up effects and designs for many of the Universal monster movies.

Sit back and enjoy some harmless monster fun for the whole family.

Munster Go Home Movie

Hot on the heels of the succesful “The Munsters” TV show in 1964-66, the first family of fright find themselves in their very own movie. All your favorite faces are there from the original series.

When Herman Munster inherits an estate from his English uncle, he becomes Lord Munster. This calls for the family to pack up all their essentials and head for good old blighty! (England)

Immediately, Herman resigns his job at Gateman, Goodbury and Graves Morticians. The Munsters family leave their pet dragon Spot to guard their home at 1313 Mockingbird Lane and they set off for England.

Things are not as they seem on the surface. Are they ever? Hillarious antics ensue and it is up to Herman to defend the Munster family honor.

Produced and co-written by series creators Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher, this frantically funny fright-fest features British comedians Terry Thomas and Hermione Gingold, legendary horror star John Carradine and Family Feud host Richard Dawson.

Munsters Go Home Movie Verdict

Whether you enjoyed The Munsters back in the 60’s or have recently discovered the first family of fright, you are in for a treat. Sit back and enjoy some nostalgic fun that all the family can enjoy. There is no violence and no bad language. Just lots of laughs and precious moments with those Munsters of mayhem.
